An Intro to the Creative Good Auction

The Creative Good Auction was started in 2016 as a way for Boise’s creative professionals to give back to the community. Each year we hold a benefit auction where we sell creative services and goods to local businesses, with all the proceeds going to a charity in our community.

This is an event that you want on your calendar, with live and silent auctions, unlimited drinks and food, live music, and it’s a great venue to meet local creative professionals, businesses, and our selected charity.

Each year we auction off a variety of professional services, ranging from graphic design like logos and brochures, to photography, to videography and audio, to programming and business consulting – a lot of these services are relatively big ticket items that can greatly benefit a business, especially since they are sold at a discount from their original price. For a smaller budget, we also auction off paintings, gift cards, and more.

All proceeds from the auction go directly to our local charity. So far we’ve teamed up with Interfaith Sanctuary and CATCH, both amazing organizations that help the homeless in our community stay off the streets and get the help they need.

Tony and SilverFox Designs worked out fantastically well. They were all a dream to work with.

The Creative Good Auction was a fantastic night of compassion and creativity, bringing together do-gooders, makers, and strivers. It was great to see everyone around wanting to know how they could make their community a home to our most vulnerable. To end homelessness, we need to make home, using our unique skillset and our resources. That's what Creative Good is all about.

Murie Design was awesome to work with, Jim is a stellar human being. We had so fun creating business portraits for Murie Design.

Participating in Creative Good led me to working with a fantastic Boise non-profit. I built a photo library to visually support their mission and community outreach.

I have appreciated working with you and your staff, and valued our work together with the Creative Good event! I shared with you when we met how much that event meant to me. Your heart is so in the right place.

Jayne S.Executive Director, Interfaith Sanctuary

I was thrilled to find a place where local business owners and the creative community came together to give time and money to local charities. At Creative Good I met new clients as well as fellow local creatives. This event was a refreshing change from the daily grind and inspired me to think of how else I could contribute to my community as a creative.

Last year we had so much fun at the Creative Good auction and were so lucky to get the winning bid on Russell Kuhns, for a full day of his programming/technical services. Russell was great to work with and he’s really good. He migrated and optimized our Redmine installation and then migrated a server full of websites, all in a day! We also won a custom metal sign from Idaho Blueprint & Supply – they were great to work with and I marvel at our breathtaking sign on our office door every day. It’s just amazing that such great people offer their services at this auction and we’re looking forward to the next one!
